Abkhazian Prime Minister: We Are Monitoring Attempts to Open a 'Second Front' Against Russia in Georgia

Abkhazian authorities remain vigilant towards Tbilisi, especially in light of reports suggesting that emissaries, including from Poland, are attempting to open a 'second front' against the Russian Federation in Georgia, stated Abkhazian Prime Minister Alexander Ankvab to the RIA Novosti news agency.

“We never lose our vigilance in any situation, particularly today. However, thank God, such things have not yet happened,” said the Prime Minister in response to a question about whether there are prerequisites for tensions in relations with Georgia in the context of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

Ankvab noted that the situation in the region is “always tense,” expressing confidence that there are “many reasonable people in Georgia who will not allow escalation.”

“We are monitoring the processes occurring there based on various circumstances, and there are no actions that concern us,” added the Prime Minister.
