«This is a tragedy for Western civilization»: Lavrov
Moscow does not see the current situation in international relations as a tragedy; it is a tragedy for the West, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“We do not create a tragedy from the situation at hand; I believe that this is a tragedy for Western civilization, for the Western system of world order,” Lavrov stated during his speech at the Primakov Readings. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
He noted that the world order based on the principles of globalization promoted by the Americans has “completely” discredited itself as “incapable of negotiation.”
According to the minister, “if tomorrow it seems that again something new does not suit Washington, it will present new approaches without hesitation and without concern for even its allies.”
