Will Armenian-Hungarian Relations Be Restored?
Considering the fact that Hungary facilitated the return of 5 Armenian prisoners of war last year, Armenia is reportedly discussing the possibility of restoring diplomatic relations, according to information from the bagramyan26 Telegram channel.
According to the channel, tomorrow, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will meet with his Hungarian counterpart to discuss Armenian-Hungarian relations.
It is worth reminding that diplomatic relations between Armenia and Hungary were established on February 26, 1992. However, on August 31, 2012, the Armenian National Security Council decided to suspend diplomatic relations between Armenia and Hungary. The decision was made following the extradition of Ramil Safarov, an Azerbaijani serviceman sentenced to life in Hungary for the murder of Armenian soldier Gurgen Margaryan.
