Peskov on Disagreements Among CSTO Countries
“There are disagreements among CSTO countries, but past events and the entire year have shown the growing necessity for such events,” stated Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
“There are certain disagreements regarding some points, which indeed prevented the signing of two documents yesterday. But that does not mean that this somehow threatens the existence of the CSTO; on the contrary, during the event, the positions of the parties and the entire past year have demonstrated the increasing necessity of the member states for the organization,” Peskov said in response to a question about whether Armenia's refusal to sign the declaration would affect the fate of the CSTO.
