Who Won the Presidential Elections in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has won the presidential elections, securing 81.31% of the votes, announced the head of the Central Election Commission, Nurlan Abdirov, who released the preliminary results of the voting.
Abdirov reported that the overall voter turnout was 69.44%, with 8,300,046 citizens participating in the elections, according to RIA Novosti.
Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Tokayev via phone on his victory in the snap presidential elections. He noted that the relations between the two countries are developing very dynamically today and fully correspond to the level of strategic partnership.
