Men Found Who Inscribed Persian Writings on Monuments
On November 15, at 20:07, a report was received at the operational management center of the police regarding unknown individuals writing in Arabic on the statue of Garegin Nzhdeh.
Officers from the Central Police Department discovered that Persian words had been written on the tombstones of Garegin Nzhdeh’s statue in Khachkars Park and the statue of Argentine General Manuel Belgrano located on Sayat Nova Avenue.
Thanks to the operational-investigative measures taken by the officers, it was established that the act was committed by two men, aged 29 and 39. They were located, arrested, and transferred to the Central Police Department on November 18 on Julhakyan Street.
An investigation is underway.
