RBC Does Not Release Interview with Ruben Vardanyan Under Azerbaijani Pressure
The Russian RBC television channel has not published an interview conducted by journalist Ilya Doronov with the Prime Minister of Artsakh, Ruben Vardanyan, due to threats from Azerbaijani users. This was reported on Vardanyan's unofficial Telegram channel, according to Aravot.
"Ilya specifically came to Armenia for this interview, it was recorded, and an announcement had been made regarding it, but RBC refuses to publish it. The reason is the threats of physical retribution directed at the journalist and his family members from Azerbaijani users on social media, following the announcement of the interview," the post states.
It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred months ago when 'RIA Novosti' removed a previously published interview with the then Prime Minister of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, under Azerbaijani pressure.
