VIDEO: Unfortunately, It Has Been Supplied by Ukraine. Bob Menendez on White Phosphorus and the Karabakh War
As previously reported, Robert Menendez, the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has stated that Kyiv supplied Baku with white phosphorus munitions that were used during the 2020 war in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Specifically, Menendez questioned Ambassador Philip Reeker, the Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations, and Karen Donfried, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, whether they were aware of Azerbaijan's use of banned weapons, including cluster bombs and white phosphorus.
Reeker stated that he had not heard of such incidents, to which Menendez responded, “However, the incidents of white phosphorus are well documented. Unfortunately, it has been supplied by Ukraine.”
