U.S. Secretary of State to Visit China
China welcomes the agreement on U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to China. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to reporters, following the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Joe Biden in Bali, according to TASS.
"The American side has announced that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit China in the near future to continue work following the meeting. The Chinese side welcomes this," the Chinese Foreign Ministry website states.
As Wang Yi noted, the working groups of the two countries responsible for financial and trade issues will also cooperate and coordinate their actions on issues such as macroeconomic policy and China-U.S. trade relations.
According to Agence France-Presse, the visit is expected in early 2023.
