Macron and Aliyev Discuss the Settlement Process of Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations
French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev yesterday. This was reported by the Elysee Palace.
Macron reaffirmed France's full support for the settlement process of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and emphasized the necessity of finding a political solution that would allow for peace in the region. He also welcomed the stabilizing role of the EU civilian mission at the border with Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, the French President mentioned that he will meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on November 19 in Tunis during the Francophonie summit.
