Peskov Comments on Withdrawal of Russian Troops from Kherson
The Kremlin does not consider the withdrawal from Kherson and the troop transfer as humiliating, stated Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, in response to reporters' questions. The information was reported by RIA Novosti.
He emphasized that the status of the region has not changed as a result. “This is a subject of the Russian Federation. It is legally enshrined, determined. There are no changes here and there cannot be,” clarified the press secretary.
Peskov specified that the authorities do not regret holding the ceremony for the region's incorporation into the country. Additionally, he added that the Kremlin would not comment on analysts' opinions, some of whom have negatively assessed the troop transfer from the left bank of the Dnieper. At the same time, Peskov stated that he could not comment on whether the Kremlin had previously discussed decisions regarding resettlement on the left bank of the Dnieper, as this topic is also related to the conduct of the special operation.
