I Clearly Told Pashinyan: Erdogan
Recently, Turkey's President Erdogan stated that he expects positive steps from Armenia. He also spoke about the Armenian diaspora.
“The Armenian diaspora, whether in France or the USA, is against the dialogue (between Turkey and Armenia), which negatively affects the process. At this moment, we do not see sufficient steps from Yerevan regarding the normalization of relations with Ankara and Baku,” he said.
The Turkish President recalled his meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia in Prague: “I clearly and unequivocally told him (Pashinyan) Ankara's position on the interconnection of Turkey's and Azerbaijan's dialogues with Armenia. We expect effective steps from Yerevan. At this moment, I cannot say anything about reaching any level of normalization. Only Armenia can change the situation in a positive direction and minimize the negative effects stemming from the actions of the diaspora,” Erdogan stated.
