Hungary's Foreign Minister Speaks Out Against Assistance to Ukraine
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has openly expressed his views on the unacceptability of providing assistance to Ukraine and the resolution of the conflict. He stated, “Instead of sanctions, the EU should focus on how we can help establish lasting peace in the region, and of course, peace will only come through discussions and negotiations. The problem is that we are the only ones in Europe advocating for peace,” he said.
Szijjarto emphasized that Hungary is the only country in Europe that does not supply weapons to Ukraine. According to him, all the countries that assist the armed forces are merely contributing to the escalation of the conflict.
