Aliyev is Manipulating, Trying to Scare the Artsakh Armenians, Harming the Russians: Babayan
Aliyev's statements are the result of anti-Armenian sentiment and also anti-Russian sentiments. This was stated by David Babayan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh, in an interview with 168.am while commenting on Aliyev's bellicose statements made from Shusha.
“These statements coincide with the course of military operations in Ukraine. When the Russian side faces certain difficulties in Ukraine, Aliyev begins to become active, closely monitoring and waiting for Russia's defeat, hoping to take advantage of it. There are still three years left on the mandate of the Russian peacekeepers stationed in Artsakh, and it is too early to talk about extending their stay in Artsakh or the contrary. Of course, Aliyev is manipulating, trying to gain dividends, scaring the Artsakh Armenians, and harming the Russians, but there is still time to discuss the issue of peacekeepers,” noted David Babayan.
