Who Will Acquire Liverpool?
Dubai International Capital, the investment subsidiary of Dubai Holding, the government’s sovereign fund, is considering the opportunity to acquire Liverpool, according to Mirror. The deal could be valued at €4.9 billion.
It was also reported that the Arab company had previously attempted to purchase Liverpool in 2007, but its offer of slightly over €300 million was rejected.
Earlier, Fenway Sports Group founder and Liverpool owner John Henry indicated that he is willing to part with the team for €4.6 billion. The American businessman acquired Liverpool in 2010. During this time, the team has won the Champions League (2019), the English Premier League (2020), the UEFA Super Cup (2019), the FA Cup (2022), the English Super Cup (2022), and the English League Cup (2012, 2022).
