Hunanian on Armenia-Iran, Armenia-Azerbaijan Relations
Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Vahan Hunanian stated in an interview with the Iranian Mehr news agency that Yerevan and Tehran do not have differing opinions on various issues, and there are no disputes between Armenia and Iran.
The spokesman emphasized that Armenia and Iran have a long history of relations, which are not only limited to governmental ties but also exist between the two peoples. Hunanian characterized Iran as a key partner for Armenia and expressed hope that their relationship will be strengthened in all areas.
"I believe we have no disagreement with Iran," Hunanian said, adding that Yerevan and Tehran maintain a consensus on various matters. According to the diplomat, as a result, the relationship between the two countries will be reinforced in the future.
Hunanian also responded to questions regarding Armenia's relations with Azerbaijan. "Armenia aims to establish peace in the South Caucasus region," the Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated. Hunanian expressed hope that Azerbaijan, like Armenia, will adhere to the same process at the negotiation table, adding that all issues should be resolved through dialogue.
