The Azerbaijani People Did Not Grant Such Authority to Ilham Aliyev, Says Azerbaijani Opposition
Following the Armenian government’s announcement supporting the extension of the Russian peacekeepers' mandate in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azerbaijani opposition has issued a statement calling the Yerevan announcement a provocation.
Ali Kerimli, the chairman of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, stated that the presence of the Russian military in Karabakh cannot be extended for twenty years, let alone twenty days, as reported by Infoteka24.
“The Azerbaijani people did not grant such authority to Ilham Aliyev,” Kerimli remarked, adding that the party will strengthen its efforts to remove Russian peacekeepers from Karabakh.
