Mirzoyan and Klaar Meet: Topics Discussed Revealed
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on October 28, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar.
During the meeting, the interlocutors addressed issues of regional security and stability, exchanged views on the drafting of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and discussed questions related to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
They emphasized the importance of the EU civilian mission's deployment in Armenia and reviewed the mission's activities. The parties also exchanged views on the unblocking of regional transportation infrastructure, as well as on the work of the border security and delimitation commissions.
Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed the need to eliminate the consequences of the recent aggression by Azerbaijan against Armenia, specifically the withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from Armenian sovereign territories.
