Democrats Urge Biden to Negotiate with Russia

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives have urged President Joe Biden to initiate negotiations with Russia regarding the situation in Ukraine. This was reported by Говорит Москва.

According to Bloomberg, the letter's authors stated that they support President Biden's course and are in favor of assisting Ukraine following criticism from their party members.

"The alternative to diplomacy is a prolonged war with catastrophic risks. We urge you to combine military and economic support with active diplomatic pressure, doubling efforts to find realistic frameworks for a ceasefire," the document states.

The Democrats proposed that diplomatic efforts could include easing anti-Russian sanctions and providing security guarantees to Kyiv.
