New High-Profile Arrests Expected: "Zhoghovurd"

According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd", Armenian Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, in one of the recent working discussions with prosecutors, addressed judges and lawyers who are under her scrutiny. She indicated that there is certain information suggesting that lawyers are in intermediated contact with judges regarding various criminal proceedings.

Yesterday, the National Security Service (NSS) entered the court and arrested Judge Arusyak Aleksanyan and lawyer Erik Aleksanyan in a pre-trial case. But why specifically these individuals?

It is worth mentioning that on July 22 of this year, Suren Avetisyan, nicknamed "Suro" and the highest-ranked criminal authority from Leninakans, was arrested. Now the law enforcement agencies have suspicions regarding the actions of this case's judge, lawyer, and investigator. On October 14, the investigator of particularly important cases, Vladimir Asatryan, was arrested in his office at the Investigative Committee, followed by the arrests of judges and lawyers Aleksanyan.

While the attention of the newly appointed prosecutor on pre-trial case proceedings is notable, it must be noted that alongside these arrests, the actions of the prosecutors themselves should also be subject to investigation. Industry experts are aware of the cases of cooperation among the prosecutor-investigator-judge trio, and how memorable these incidents can be.

Thus, according to "Zhoghovurd", more high-profile arrests are expected in the near future, as signs of activity have been observed within the law enforcement system.
