Video: The Death Toll in Izhevsk School Shooting Rises to 9, Including Children
A shooting occurred at School No. 88 in the capital of Udmurtia. The head of the republic, Aleksandr Brechalov, has arrived at the scene, where all special services and medical teams are working.
According to TASS, the number of fatalities in the Izhevsk school shooting has reached 9 people, including 2 security staff, 2 teachers, and 5 students. Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Udmurtia reported six dead and 20 injured.
The agency also stated that the body of the shooter has been found, and he committed suicide. "Police discovered the body of the man who opened fire; according to information, he has committed suicide," announced the press service.
School No. 88 is located in the center of Izhevsk, not far from the city hall.
