Putin: The Latest Azerbaijani Attack Localized Thanks to Russia's Influence
The recent incident on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border has nothing to do with Nagorno-Karabakh, said Russian President Vladimir Putin during a conversation with reporters at the SCO summit in Samarkand.
"The recent border incident has no relation to Nagorno-Karabakh; it is in a completely different region, on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border," said Putin.
The Russian president emphasized that the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia has managed to be localized primarily with the support of Russia. "We regret this, and of course, for the victims there. Thanks in part to Russia's influence, this conflict has been localized, and I hope it will continue to be so from now on," said Putin.
