— How will the Armenian-Azerbaijani border situation affect the Artsakh-Azerbaijan contact zone? How realistic is the threat of a resumption of large-scale military operations at this time?
— Naturally, the developments occurring along Armenia's borders negatively impact the Artsakh-Azerbaijan contact zone. The extent to which the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in Artsakh can maintain control over the situation directly depends on geopolitical factors. However, it is not ruled out that Baku, taking advantage of our government’s ineffective and helpless approach, aims to resolve the issue of Artsakh once and for all, possibly using military force.
— How do you envision the final resolution of the Artsakh issue?
— The people of Artsakh made their choice nearly three decades ago, and that choice is not negotiable.
