No Recognition of Kosovo, Says Serbian President
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, stated during a meeting with representatives from the EU, Germany, and France that Belgrade will not recognize the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo. He expressed this on social media, emphasizing the need for a compromise.
“We are talking about the future of Serbia; there will be no recognition of Kosovo. Right now, we are discussing with EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajčak, as well as advisors on foreign and security policy from France and Germany, Emmanuel Bon and Jens Pletner, regional issues regarding dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in the Western Balkans,” wrote Vučić.
He added, “I am always ready for compromise solutions in accordance with the Constitution of Serbia and UN Security Council Resolution 1244.”
