According to reliable information from Auroranews, a rescue worker from the Ministry of Emergency Situations has died. Based on the data we have received, the cause was burns sustained during work.
“The incident occurred on August 27, when there was a fire in a forest near the landfill of Spitak city. During firefighting operations, Captain Karen Kharatyan sustained burns and was subsequently transferred to the Spitak Medical Center, and from there to the National Burn Center. Unfortunately, medical efforts were unsuccessful, and his death was recorded on August 31 at the National Burn Center,” said Haik Kostanyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in an interview with Auroranews.
