Car Accident in Artsakh: 16-Year-Old Boy Dies

On August 27, at 10:40 AM, the operational management center of the National Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that a traffic accident with fatal consequences occurred in the area known as "Kemkesh" in the city of Martakert. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Artsakh Republic.

Response teams from the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the regional division of the State Emergency Service in Martakert, along with an investigative group from the investigative committee and emergency medical personnel, were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that around 10:25 AM, an 18-year-old resident of Martakert, identified as E.O., was driving a "Opel Astra" vehicle when he veered off the road on the Dyrmbon-Martakert highway at the 33rd kilometer mark, resulting in the car overturning.

As a result of the accident, a passenger, 16-year-old A.K., also from Martakert, died at the scene. The driver was transported to the "Martakert Regional Medical Center" with bodily injuries. The preliminary cause of the accident was determined to be speeding. The investigation is being handled by the investigative committee.
