Azerbaijan is Likely to Engage in New Provocations Along the Border, Expert Says
The adversary has opened fire on the village of Khachik. In the direction of Vardenis, the enemy's barrage of fire continues. Unfortunately, we do not have a shortage of similar information, while the adversary continues its provocative actions without receiving an adequate response.
Regarding incidents of border tension provoked by the enemy, ArmDaily.am talked to Azerbaijani expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan. According to the expert, three days ago, the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan convened a meeting, during which specific instructions were given to respond to all possible provocations from "revanchists."
“After such instructions and statements, it becomes clear once again that Azerbaijan is going to engage in new provocations along the border. If someone still does not understand what kind of policy Azerbaijan is pursuing, then these individuals are simply leading Armenia to another set of trials and failures,” emphasized Hayrapetyan.
In her opinion, amidst this, those in power speak all day long about some third forces, complaining that they claim Armenia and Azerbaijan cannot coexist peacefully.
“Throughout its entire history, Azerbaijan has shown and continues to show that it cannot tolerate anything related to Armenians. Just a few days ago, at the European wrestling championship, an Azerbaijani athlete, unable to accept that the winner was Armenian, stepped down from the podium during the Armenian anthem and was disqualified. This is just one example of their extreme intolerance. Another instance was when there were discussions about the surrender of Berdzor villages, and the village head of Aghavno declared that they would not leave the village, would stay, and would fight. One of Azerbaijan's propaganda websites published an article stating that if these people decide to stay in the village, it would provide them an opportunity to carry out a "special operation." This shows that if any area unexpectedly falls under Azerbaijan's control, the population will either be subjected to genocide or deportation,” emphasized Tatevik Hayrapetyan.
In her view, Armenia is under an information blockade, as government circles are trying their best to hide information from the citizens.
