Video: Ship Splits in Two, Only 3 of 30 Crew Members Found
An engineering ship with a crew of 30 has split in two. The accident occurred near the shores of the South China Sea, southwest of Hong Kong.
Rescue services have dispatched a boat, an aircraft, and two helicopters to the scene. However, it has been reported that ongoing storms in the area are hindering search operations. Currently, only three out of the 30 crew members have been able to escape, while the fate of the others remains unknown. Search efforts are ongoing.
The day before the incident, an eighth-level storm warning was issued in Hong Kong due to Typhoon Chaba, as announced by the country’s chief military prosecutor.
