VIDEO: 32-Year-Old Man Shot a 22-Year-Old Youth on Arshakuniats Avenue
On June 22, the Shengavit police received a report from their counterparts in Masis that at 8:10 PM, a 22-year-old resident of Masis had suffered abdominal injuries and sought medical assistance at the Masis Medical Center. This was reported by the RA Police.
“Investigation teams established that at 7:30 PM, an unknown individual shot the victim on Arshakuniats Avenue in the capital. A criminal case was initiated in the Shengavit investigation department on the basis of attempted murder. Operational and investigative measures were carried out at the scene. Within hours, information regarding the identity of the suspect was obtained at the main department of criminal police,” the statement said.
As a result of joint actions taken by the officers of the Yerevan city department and the Shengavit division, a 32-year-old man residing in the Inner Shengavit district was quickly located on Solomon Taronci Street, taken into custody at the Shengavit division, presented to the investigative body, and arrested.
Measures are being taken to discover the firearm used in the crime, as well as to clarify the circumstances and motives of the incident. The pre-investigation continues,” the report stated.
