The Aparan Incident Has No Connection to the CPP, Armen Khachatryan Clarifies
Regarding the recent murders that took place in Aparan and are alleged to be connected to CPP MP Matevos Asatryan and the deputy governor, I must state that these reports have been officially refuted. This was stated by the ruling Civil Contract faction MP Armen Khachatryan in the National Assembly.
“Crimes involving the use of weapons, hooliganism, and murders have always existed and will continue to exist. If at some point they do not occur, the relevant criminal articles and the legal system that fights against them will not be in place; unfortunately, these incidents have occurred and will continue to do so,” he noted.
Khachatryan assessed the current level of crime in Armenia as satisfactory.
