Western Pressure on EAEU Countries Intensifies, Says Russian Prime Minister
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, at a meeting of the EAEU intergovernmental council in Minsk, stated that the pressure from the West on EAEU countries is intensifying and that unfriendly actions require a joint response.
“This pressure affects the entire organization. We must work together on our response,” he said.
According to Mishustin, it is essential to minimize the impact of such hostile actions on EAEU citizens, strengthen macroeconomic stability, increase import substitution, reduce dependence on external supplies, and establish domestic production.
In his words, given the current situation, it is necessary to create conditions for business, accelerate the transition to their own international settlement mechanisms, and expand the use of national currencies in foreign trade.
