Armenian Athletes Triumph at Tournament in Georgia
On June 11, the GFC 16 tournament in mixed martial arts (MMA) took place in Tbilisi, Georgia, where Armenia was represented by three athletes: Tatul Avagyan, Narek Galstyan, and Samvel Vardanyan. This marks Tatul Avagyan’s fourth victory, Samvel Vardanyan’s seventh, and Narek Galstyan’s first win in previous tournaments.
The president of the Artsakh MMA federation and head coach of the Artsakh national team, Garegin Aghabalyan, stated in an interview that such professional fights are very challenging. According to the coach, MMA is the most popular sport.
