Damascus Airport Runway Disabled After Israeli Strike
The runway and lighting system of Damascus International Airport have been rendered inoperable following airstrikes carried out by the Israeli Air Force. One of the terminal buildings was also damaged. This was reported by the Syrian Ministry of Transport, according to RIA Novosti.
On Friday morning, the Syrian Ministry of Defense reported that Israel launched missiles at several sites south of Damascus. The air defense forces intercepted most of the missiles. As a result of the Israeli attack, one civilian was injured. Flights and landings at the international airport have been halted. The Russian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Israel's actions.
