It Is Known When Lavrov Will Visit Armenia

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has announced that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Armenia.

"On June 10, the Russian Foreign Minister will participate in the regular meeting of the CSTO Foreign Ministers' Council in Yerevan," Zakharova said at today's press briefing.

She reminded that this year Armenia is presiding over the CSTO. The participants of the meeting will summarize the results of multilateral cooperation within the CSTO framework and will discuss the prospects for further cooperation. They will address how the international and regional situation impacts the member states of the organization and will talk about improving the CSTO's crisis response mechanisms.

According to her, a program for consultations on foreign policy, defense, and security issues will be signed. A number of bilateral meetings are also planned.
