Aliyev is Preparing for a New War, Says Azerbaijani Expert

In the last two months, Azerbaijan has been actively preparing the political and military ground for an attack on Armenia. This was stated by Azerbaijani expert Garnik Davtyan on his Facebook page.

“The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan regularly disseminates false information about the Armenian side allegedly firing on Azerbaijani positions. The main ‘targeted’ area, of course, is the occupied Karvachar, and recently also Tavush (to distract attention). It is evident that by repeatedly mentioning the direction of Karvachar, they are directly targeting all of Syunik. They are creating new aggressive sentiments among the public in the sphere of propaganda. Specifically, Azerbaijan spreads false news about injured soldiers in the unofficial (public) domain. In this context, they employ strategic propaganda tactics and use slogans such as ‘the revanchists must be beheaded,’ ‘Zangezur is Azerbaijan,’ ‘Aliyev, send in the troops.’

It is not at all coincidental that Aliyev emphasizes the effectiveness of the use of force and the non-application of international law in all his meetings. In short, they are preparing for a new war.”
