Ukraine Proposes Increase in Budget Expenditures

Members of the Verkhovna Rada are proposing to increase expenditures for security and defense in Ukraine's budget by $9.7 billion, as reported by the Servant of the People party.

"The lawmakers suggest increasing the spending on national security and defense, which has arisen due to Russia's large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. This is stated in the draft law registered in parliament," the party's statement published on their Telegram channel reads.

It is noted that the total expenses of the state budget's general fund are proposed to be increased by 287 billion hryvnias (approximately $9.7 billion).
