VIDEO: What Happened After the Incident in the National Assembly
Members of the "Armenia" faction of the National Assembly, particularly Gegham Manukyan and Agnesa Khamoyan, did not flee the hall but approached Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, engaging him in conversation. During this time, several members of the ruling My Step faction began chanting "Armenia," to which one of the opposition members responded, "Why are you shouting Armenia, shout Turkey instead." National Assembly president Alen Simonian also told departing opposition MPs, "Go, go to the 30-40 thousand people."
