Police Calls on Citizens Participating in Protests
In recent days, the police in Yerevan and the regions have observed violations aimed at disrupting public order during gatherings and other mass events. This was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
The police will continue to carry out their legislative responsibilities in a consistent and decisive manner to ensure human safety, maintain public order, and guarantee road traffic safety, as well as to prevent and thwart violations.
Therefore, we urge participants and organizers of gatherings to refrain from actions aimed at compromising public order and other violations, to respect the rights and lawful interests of others, and to comply with the legal requirements of police officers engaged in maintaining public order.
Each case of violation will be subject to thorough investigation, and those found guilty will be held accountable in accordance with the law.
