Iran Collaborates with Armenia to Complete New Communication Corridor
During a meeting with Armenia's Ambassador to Iran Arsen Avagyan, Iran's Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Khayrullah Khadem expressed Iran's readiness to cooperate with Armenia in the export of technical and engineering services aimed at completing a new communication corridor between the two countries. This was reported by ParsToday.
According to the ILNA news agency, Khayrullah Khadem referred to his visit to Armenia last year, which aimed to expand cooperation in the transportation sector. He stated, “Iran strives to enhance its transit advantages by constructing new international routes. New roads, railways, and maritime routes are being built or developed, facilitating Iran's access to the ‘North-South’ corridor and European countries, reducing transit times and consequently transportation costs.”
The Ambassador of Armenia to Iran expressed satisfaction with the cooperation in the field of road construction, stating, “Armenia welcomes collaboration with Iranian engineers and contractors, benefiting from their valuable experience in road construction, particularly in building bridges and tunnels, and is prepared to build the southern segment of this corridor with Iran's assistance.”
