I Have Never Negotiated the Issue of Artsakh on a Phased Basis: Sargsyan
During my entire term in office, I have never negotiated the issue of Artsakh on a phased basis. This was stated by the office of the third President of Armenia in a released statement.
“The person occupying the Prime Minister’s chair once again demonstrated his nature as a liar and manipulator during today’s speech in the National Assembly. He is lying again and trying to mislead the public, including when discussing the negotiation process regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. Throughout my entire term in office, I have never negotiated the issue of Artsakh on a phased basis.
The person occupying the Prime Minister’s chair either still does not understand the difference between phased and package options, or has employed his main weapon—manipulation. I have publicly spoken several times about the difference between phased and package solutions, and have also explained in detail that the package option cannot be implemented in a day or an hour, but must definitely be resolved in phases. Let him reread my interviews from different periods and, no matter how difficult it may be for him, understand the differences and characteristics of these two options. By the way, my statements on the aforementioned topic have also been confirmed by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. Not to mention the confessions of Aliyev, whom he has referred to as ‘constructive’,” the statement reads.
