According to Our Opinion, the Road Will Remain Closed for Several More Hours: 4-5 Hours or Even Longer
The Vanadzor-Stepanavan road remains closed due to an avalanche that occurred in the 8-10 km area, specifically in the Bazum village region. Emergency Management Agency’s regional operational group, the Stepanavan 'Lore' rescue squad, and Red Cross volunteers are currently on site. This information was provided to Panorama.am by the 'Lore' rescue squad.
“In our opinion, it will remain closed for several more hours: 4-5 hours or even longer. At this moment, three pieces of equipment are working from the Stepanavan side, and one from the Vanadzor side,” reported the Stepanavan rescue squad while also responding to the question of whether there are vehicles trapped under the avalanche: “We do not have exact information. We suspect one vehicle, but it is not certain.”
