Scania Loaded with 9 Tons of Fabric Overturns After Hitting Barriers in Lori Province
Today, on March 24, a major traffic accident occurred in Lori Province. Around 09:30, 57-year-old Gosha Tsinikashvili, a citizen of the Republic of Georgia, was driving a Scania truck along the Alaverdi-Vanadzor highway when he veered into the opposite lane, collided with concrete barriers, and overturned. This information was reported by Shamshyan.com.
Fortunately, according to preliminary information, there are no injuries as a result of the accident.
The report states that the truck was loaded with approximately 9 tons of fabric, and representatives from the regional service also arrived at the scene. Due to the vehicle's overturning, the entrance to Alaverdi city has been closed, and traffic police on-site are redirecting drivers to alternative routes to Alaverdi.
To right the vehicle, two cranes are required, as the truck is partially hanging towards the gorge with its front end.
