Putin to Hold International Phone Call Today, Peskov Says
Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold an international phone call today, February 28, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov has announced.
“Today we expect an international phone conversation at noon,” Peskov told reporters.
Referring to the sanctions against Russia and Putin, Peskov stated that sanctions imposed on Putin are shortsighted and absurd.
“The EU has adopted an unfriendly stance towards Russia and is taking hostile actions; we will do what is in our interests,” he emphasized.
He also noted that Putin will discuss the state of the economy with the government and the Central Bank today.
