No One Has Authorized the EU to Resolve War and Peace Issues, Russian Foreign Ministry Statement
No one has authorized the EU to resolve war and peace issues in Europe; such authority belongs exclusively to the UN Security Council. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry on February 24.
“We would like to remind you once again that Western countries do not have a monopoly on international law and the driving forces of international development. No one has authorized the EU to resolve war and peace issues in Europe; only the UN Security Council has such international legal authority,” the diplomatic department noted.
