US Sanctions Comparable to Disconnecting Russia from SWIFT System, Says Biden
The US does not intend to send its troops to Ukraine. This was announced by US President Joe Biden during his urgent address.
At the same time, he stated that he has allowed the deployment of more American troops to Germany.
US sanctions are comparable in scale to the disconnection of Russia from the SWIFT system, Biden said. "Europe currently does not want to disconnect the Russian Federation from SWIFT," noted the US President.
US and its allies intend to restrict the import of Russian high-tech products by 50%.
New US sanctions against Russia will affect the Russian space program.
