VIDEO. Russia Ready to Show Ukraine What Real De-Communization Means, Says Putin

The situation in Donbas has reached a critical and acute nature. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a video address to the Russian people.

He noted that Ukraine is not just a neighboring country for Russia, but a part of its history. Putin reminded that modern Ukraine was created by Russia. More precisely, by Bolshevik, communist Russia. This process began immediately after the 1917 revolution. Lenin and his associates did this in a very crude manner right against Russia itself, separating from it parts of its historical territories.

This is a historical fact. As a result of Bolshevik policy, Soviet Ukraine emerged, which can rightly be called Vladimir Ilyich Lenin's Ukraine; he is its author and architect.

Putin stated that the mistakes of the Bolsheviks over the years led to the collapse of the USSR, and the collapse of historical Russia is on their conscience.
