Putin Ready for Negotiations with the West: Dmitry Peskov
Russian President Vladimir Putin is prepared for negotiations regarding security guarantees for Russia and discussions surrounding Ukraine. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with CNN.
“First and foremost, President Putin has consistently called for negotiations and diplomacy. In fact, he has taken the initiative regarding security guarantees for Russia. Ukraine is merely a part of the issue, it is part of a larger concern regarding security guarantees for Russia,” he stated.
Recently, statements have been emerging from Western countries, as well as Ukraine, regarding a possible invasion of Ukrainian territory by Russia. Peskov labeled such reports as a major escalation of tension and emphasized that Russia does not pose a threat to anyone.
