Putin Jokes About Ukraine's NATO Membership Timing
“They say Ukraine will not join NATO tomorrow, so when will it join, if not tomorrow, then the day after?” This was a rhetorical question posed by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
Speaking about Ukraine's potential NATO membership, Putin mocked the uncertainty surrounding the timing, claiming that the vague statements made by their international partners are neither acceptable nor credible. This was reported by TASS.
“For 30 years, NATO assured us that not a single inch would come closer to the Russian border, and now we see NATO military equipment right outside our windows,” Putin added.
