VIDEO: What Was Said to the Belarusian Ambassador When He Was Invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? The Minister Clarifies
During the Q&A session between the National Assembly and the Government today, MP Vagharsak Hakobyan addressed the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan, asking what the nature of the conversation with the Belarusian ambassador was.
“I am sure you are aware of the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that was disseminated in the media yesterday. I want to reiterate that Alexander Grigoryevich's unique geopolitical analyses have garnered the attention of various international partners before and have become subjects of discussion. We firmly believe that these statements were aimed at serving the internal political agenda of the President of Belarus. You can be assured that they have no relation to the foreign policy agenda of Armenia,” noted the MP.
In response, Ararat Mirzoyan stated, “Indeed, yesterday the Belarusian ambassador was invited to our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where our beliefs were conveyed to him, regarding the fact that our statements about one another should be based on mutual respect, taking into account each other's interests, sovereignty, as well as the legal framework upon which our countries cooperate.”
