G7 Countries to Discuss Anti-Russian Sanctions
G7 countries may hold an online meeting on February 24 with representatives of other EU countries to discuss the Ukrainian crisis and sanctions against Russia in the event of a potential invasion. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.
The publication notes that in addition to Germany, France, Italy, Japan, the USA, Canada, and the UK, representatives from European countries that are not members of the G7 will also participate in the meeting.
One of the agency’s sources emphasized that they plan to maintain a constructive approach during the meeting, which could contribute to a diplomatic resolution of the crisis. Another Bloomberg source added that the date of the discussion is not finalized and may change depending on developments.
It had previously been reported that the USA and the European Union have been struggling to clarify the list of companies and goods for the package of anti-Russian sanctions against Russia.
